Museum Acquires 6 New Keramidas Works

The Keramida Museum recently acquired six paintings by artist Alkis Keramidas (1905-1980). This new acquisition includes several rare subjects including a still life from early in Keramidas’ career and a landscape featuring the artist’s daughter who was seldom seen in his work. Also of note is The Shepherdess, a stunning portrait of two village women from rural Greece. The museum previously had only a photograph of this painting, and it was used for years in promotional materials by KERAMIDA, Inc. We are thrilled to finally be able to display the original in our current exhibit. Visit us soon to see the rest of our new additions!
